Attention MVGS FanATICS! Sooo, it's about time to close the book on the All Star Season, except that it's not over! That's right: After incredibly high level play across all teams and age divisions, 9 trophy finishes, and our 10U district team qualifying for state, we have 1 remaining piece of unfinished business: For the second year in a row, our 16U team has qualified for the nationals. We are exceptionally proud that a group of ladies who grew up playing MVGS softball are travelling to Cheyenne, Wyoming to compete in the National Championships during the week of July 28 - August 3. What a way to cap off our All Star Season! MVGS fans: This is quite a feat but an expensive endeavor. The total cost for this trip is expected to reach $12,000. Many of the coaches and girls are driving to Wyoming to keep the costs down. If anyone can help with sponsorship of any form (monetary, meals, gas, lodging, whatever!) please email Paul Hill or call him at (949)302-2736. Mission Viejo Girls Softball (MVGS) is an ASA affiliated Junior
Olympic FASTPITCH SOFTBALL recreation league.
The league draws primarily from the cities of Mission Viejo,
Laguna Hills, Lake Forest and surrounding communities in
South Orange County in Southern California.
MVGS is a non-profit organization operated by volunteers and funded by business and private donations. NO FUND RAISERS OR CANDY SALES. We normally field more than 60 teams/year in age groups ranging from 5 to 16 and are committed to giving all girls, regardless of athletic ability, the experience of playing the game of softball. Our participation rules are intended to give every child an opportunity to learn, play, and grow in the sport. |
