MVGS fans:
2 more trophy finishes between weekend of 6/20-6/22 and 6/23-6/29, and these belong to the 10U District Team. They placed
first at the Rancho Round-Up on 6/22, and, as noted on the front page, they finished 2nd in the Orange County
district tournament. Way to go girls!!! Here is a complete rundown of the trophy finishes so far for the 2008 All Star
Season.
- The 10U District team placed 2nd in the district tourney, and they will now compete in the state tourney
- The 10U District team placed 1st in the Rancho Round-Up tourney
- The 8U District team placed 2nd in the Laguna Niguel tourney
- the 8U tournament team placed first in the Laguna Niguel tourney
- The 8U District Team took the championship in Mira Mesa
- Guy Mondt's 12U Tournament places second at the LaVerne Tourney
- The 8U Tournament Team places second at the Placentia/Yorba Linda Tourney
- The 8U Tournament Team places second at the Canyon Hills Tourney
- The 8U District Team places second at the Canyon Hills Tourney
That's 9 trophy finishes so far. I've also talked with several coaches who noted extremely competetive play,
and giant individual and team efforts in cases that didn't necessarily end with a trophy finish. We're proud of
